Indoor Pool Roof top seating Great location
I was first disappointed that we didn't get a room with a view of the ocean, but they gave us a huge room with effeciencies at no extra cost. It ended up being the quietest room on the floor!! It was great.
Location. We were able to walk where we wanted to go. Price was fair for what we got.
Room not made up even though I told maids we would be out of the room in a little bit and we wanted the room made. I could see where parking would be a big problem during the season.
I really liked the location of the hotel. Everything we needed was very convenient. The hotel staff were all very friendly and pleasant to talk to. The sun deck was enjoyable and a nice place to go in evenings to relax, play cards and meet others, as well as watch the sunrise and sunsets. the rooms were comfortable and clean and there was adequate seating outside your room.
Parking onsite was very limited. But they had an extra lot that wasn't too far a walk. More oceanfront balconies would be welcome, but all other rooms had a nice ocean view.
Out the door, cross the boardwalk, BEACH. Room was nice, a small dbl. Allways cool. $2.50, all day (seasonal) bus pass! Parked, never moved my ride. New, COLD, on time buses!
Small elevator, log jam at rush hour. Frige never got cold. No real control of AC in room.(rooms cooled centrally, not an in room unit) No ice or soda/snack machines, even though there were clearly places for them at each elevator landing.(plugs, water, room) There is one soda machine by the office.
The Sea Gull Inn was very nice, not a fancy luxury type hotel, but really had all you needed to relax and enjoy the beach and the area. Within walking distance of all the action! Nice amenities. Very spacious room and huge bathroom!! The Kitchenette is definitely a plus!! The Hotel Staff was extremely nice and if anything was wrong or needed attention, they were very attentive and corrected it immediately or pretty close to that! We will definitely consider visiting the Sea Gull Inn again in the future.
Sea Gull Inn really needs to upgrade their televisions! Parking is definitely one item that seemed to be lacking. There are minimal parking spaces at the Sea Gull Inn onsite, but they do have another parking area. You have to go one street over and about 2 long blocks and crossing a large street with no traffic light to get there, walking back and forth is very inconvenient. So, if you get a parking space, keep it and walk everywhere :)
It was very clean and comfortable beds, We really enjoyed the breakfast and the coffee was excellent
I loved the location and the view. The beds were adequate and the room size and shape was quite good.
I did not like the lack of soundproofing in the walls. All the sounds from adjacent rooms comes through. The parking is horrendous and hotel employees routinely use parking intended for guests. The "handicapped" spots are abused by everyone because there is inadequate parking. The auxillary lot requires that you cross Pacific avenue, a dangerous road. I felt trapped at the hotel. The elevator is too small to accommadate the traffic.
Parking. Didnt know about double parking - picked up key after very long drive, didnt see notice about off site parking. Inadvertently double parked & got called at 1030pm waking my children. Wouldnt allow a stranger to move our brand new van. Didnt see anything about this when booking. Crossing intersection to that remote lot was very dangerous at times & innapropriate with small kids. Wouldnt come back for that reason.
My family and I had a great room and a great view of the beach. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. The location is right in the middle of everything and right by the beach.
Parking was limited.
Close to the beach
Parking was inconvenient - lot at the hotel was small. They have an overflow lot 2 blocks away and you have to cross two very busy streets to get to and from the parking lot. There was a fairly large water leak from the tub in the bathroom upstairs above our room, Room 209. The desk clerk asked my husband to clean it up because there were no other staff members there to assist. He declined and so did I. There was alot of dirty water that came out of the ceiling. So they moved us to another room for that evening until the maids came in to work the next morning and then we had to move back to our original room.
Location and price...But outside of having a room..there is not much u get for the price of the room..
NO maid service. We did get clean towels for 1 day out of the 3 days we were there.I would recommend Sea Gull Inn only if u have budget and u want to be close to beach... at $130.00.there r cheaper places
The only thing I can compliment is that it was right on the beach.
1. Asked for an end of group room as I am a light sleeper - gave us a room right next to the pool (high traffic); and the curtains did not close all the way 2. parking was terrible - had to go 1 1/2 blocks away the entire 3 days 3. we asked for a 7am wake-up call Call came in at 8am (1 hour late) 4. room sufficed but did not seem squeaky clean
The room was kept very clean. The maintenance staff is terrific and very successful
The loby has a coffee pot - never filled. There is no room service. Even though it is advertized! Resturant closes too early, bath towels not sufficient, and when I asked for more was told I had to bring the old ones to the desk and then I was brought to the laundry room for replacements, carrying my towels! Never have I ever had to do that in a hotel. front desk staff no help with resturants and roads for travel in area. coffee pot in room .. with fridge .. but no milk .. just powder. and WORST OF ALL .. indoor pool is a very nice thing especially this time of year EXCEPT that it is SOOOO filthy, we only got in and then immediately out. i believe thats a health hazard?? there is slime built up on the coping of the outside of the pool and caused a friend of mine to fall in the pool (she caught herself with the banister) and there is dirt in the corners of the pool. just PLAIN FILTHY!!! and the hot tub was just as bad ..water was DANGEROUSLY hot and not moving in the tub. another health hazard???? needlesss to say, I thought this was a HOTEL not a MOTEL ... so i was expecting better service and facilities!
Access to the indoor pool has to be from leaving the hotel structure. Insufficient on site parking means most guests need to park 2 blocks away.
